Diversified Power International (DPI) was founded in Piney Flats Tennessee in 1997. Since inception, we’ve created a range of innovative products that provide value for customers. A full turnkey operation, we provide mechanical, electrical, printed circuit board (PCB), analog and digital electronics, and software design.
In the beginning, DPI created a range of charging products, powering a variety of systems from remote-controlled grocery cart tugs to portable medical supply stations, even units sophisticated enough to power military bomb detection robots.
We’re the original inventors of many of the so called ‘intelligent’, ‘smart’, ‘multi-stage’ and 5-stage algorithms and developed smart battery chargers that offer documented advantages such as less battery gassing-resulting in less water replacement and lower battery heating, fewer battery maintenance hours and lower electronic power consumption. This enabled us to provide our customers an exacting fit for their charging applications, increased battery life and lower overall operating costs.

Growth, Expansion
In 2016, the Algae Management Division was established within DPI. We research, develop and continually improve on the only world-wide patented Ultrasonic technology for algae and biofilm management. HBS provides 100% chemical free, eco driven solutions.
In 2021Â Hydro Bioscience, LLCÂ (HBS) was created as a separate company to better handle growth and expansion. HBS products are in thousands of locations around the globe. Today, DPI and HBS share the 35,000 square foot facility and employ more than 75 members of the community.Â
Continued Focus
We announced some very exciting changes in 2022. Our battery charger product line was sold to Pro Charging Systems, LLC (PCS) in LaVergne, TN. As manufacturers of battery chargers, DC to DC Converters, AC to DC Converters, golf car electronic modules, and
environmental products, we decided to focus on DPI’s path forward and strengthen our ability to add to all product lines.
