Headquartered in Piney Flats, Tenn., DPI manufactures smart battery chargers that offer documented advantages such as less battery gassing, less water replacement, fewer battery maintenance hours, less battery heating, less output amperage required and less electric power consumption. DPI chargers also increase battery life, lower operating costs and operate more efficiently. While most battery chargers are pre-programmed, which results in either an overcharge or undercharge of the battery, DPI’s technology involves manufacturing each battery charger with a microprocessor. This microprocessor contains sophisticated mathematic calculations or algorithms for determining each battery’s appropriate recharge requirement. As a result, DPI chargers deliver a 100 percent recharging capacity – not the 40 to 70 percent found with most chargers.
The company’s line of converters and inverters also feature this same approach to solve power supply problems. And some can even be combined to provide a complete ATX computer platform power supply.
Founded in 1997, DPI initially manufactured battery chargers for the motive power industry, which included fork lifts, pallet movers and golf carts. The company quickly began designing and developing chargers to serve other markets, such as retail, industrial, health care, military defense and robotics.Regardless of the market served, DPI’s primary goal is to satisfy the customer’s charging needs and provide exceptional customer value. To achieve this, DPI emphasizes continual improvement and provides proper tools, technology and continual training to its employees. This approach has resulted in an environment where DPI employees take pride and ownership in their work.
DPI is committed to doing it right the first time by remaining focused on reducing process variability and continually improving the Quality Management System.DPI’s Quality Management System is established to comply with all parts (with the exception of "Service" as stated within clause 7 of the standard) of ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9001-2000. This quality system provides the structure to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
DPI manages the following processes in accordance with the standard:
